Research Shows The Skills Shortage Is Alive And Well In IT. By Simon Ratcliffe, Principal Consultant, Advisory – Ensono IT.
A recent Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) Research paper reports that a lack of human resource, alongside skills shortage… are the biggest challenges hampering further digitisation.
40% of participating organisations cited a shortage of specific skills as preventing them from being able to execute transformational activities effectively. The problem with this assessment is that it misses the point of what skills we require to drive effective transformation.

Ancoris and Cloud Industry Forum research suggests there is still progress to be made to ensure long-term lessons from pandemic are learned.
While digital transformation has been happening in organisations for many years now, the events of 2020 have forced companies to accelerate the pace of this change and make preparations to ensure this change will be permanent.
