FireHost joins the Cloud Industry Forum as it Expands into European Market

Secure cloud hosting company becomes the latest name to endorse CIF and its Code of Practice

The Cloud Industry Forum (CIF), has today announced that FireHost, a secure cloud hosting company, is the latest cloud services vendor to join the growing forum. The announcement follows FireHost's forthcoming expansion into Europe, with its UK office opening in December 2011.

FireHost specialises in fully managed secure cloud hosting with sites that have compliance or high-traffic needs. Its cloud infrastructure offers secure, powerful and flexible hosting and is used by ecommerce, SaaS, healthcare IT and security companies around the world.

Katrena Drake, Director of European Operations at FireHost commented: "We are delighted to be partnering with the Cloud Industry Forum, supporting its work and the emphasis that CIF places on ensuring that cloud service providers offer secure services. Due to our like-minded goals, we have high hopes that this will be a successful partnership and we look forward to working alongside Andy Burton and the rest of the CIF team."

Andy Burton, chairman of the Cloud Industry Forum added: "We are delighted that FireHost has joined the Cloud Industry Forum as it launches its service in the European market. This is one of a number of US headquartered companies that have joined in recent months . Cloud evangelists such as FireHost play a valuable role in the future of CIF and its Code of Practice,"

"There is no doubt that those organisations seeking to use cloud services need a straightforward form of certification or 'code of practice' for potential suppliers that will accurately define the services offered, standards of operation and security. FireHost is the latest cloud services provider to see the business benefits for both the end-user and vendor perspective and we are pleased to have them on board," he concluded.
